Scrub Collective
The Scrub Collective is an interdisciplinary group working at the intersection of art and environmental activism. United by a shared commitment to ecological justice, the collective champions creative and constructive responses to the climate crisis and the ongoing mass extinction of species. The Scrub Collective initiated and created the Barlow Street Forest in Sydney’s CBD.
Members for this iteration include Prudence Gibson, Jane Irwin, Lara Merrett, Rena Shein, Floria Tosca, and Vivienne Webb bring together diverse expertise in art, writing, and landscape architecture to advocate for systemic change.
For OpenField, The Scrub Collective will present ‘The Letter Room’, an interactive experience of guided letter writing and art making, with workshops by grassroots, non-partisan action group The Climate Writers.
